1. Do not add `.form-control-label` and `.col-form-legend` at the same time. It's enough to have only one of them.
1. Use legends instead of labels for compound fields. I think it makes more sense to have nested `fieldsets` than `labels` without `for` in a compound form. An example of nested fieldsets is given at the bottom of [this page](https://dev.w3.org/html5/spec-preview/the-fieldset-element.html).

The DbalSessionHandler misses all the improvements from the PdoSessionHandler (lock modes, delayed GC, configurable naming). The only advantage it had was the ability to work with non-pdo drivers. But since DBAL requires PDO now as well (36df6828b3) even that is not really relevant anymore.
Stofs argument in https://github.com/symfony/symfony/issues/20501#issuecomment-260131521 sound like a new feature that can be implemented separately. Ref. #24267

I have made a port of the Twig form theming code for Bootstrap 3 to the α-5 version of Bootstrap 4.
- The (inheritance) structure of the form theming files has changed because a number of blocks are the same between BS 3 and 4. They have been migrated to `bootstrap_base_layout.html.twig`.
The new tree is as follows:

- All layout tests have been added and updated for BS4. The inheritance tree is as follows:

The Form component can be used without the Translation component.
However, to be able to use the default form themes provided by the
TwigBridge you need to have the `trans` filter to be available.
This change ensure that there will always be a `trans` filter which as
a fallback will just return the message key if no translator is present.

The code coverage computed by PHPUnit is not very accurate by default as it marks a line as tested as soon as it has been executed.
For example, if you have two classes A and B where A is using B and you write test only for the class A then the class B will be marked as tested.
You can fix this issue by adding `@covers A` on top of the class ATest, but it's a bit boring.
This Listener add this annotation on each test if it's applicable:
* If an annotation already exists, we do nothing.
* We try to find the SUT thanks to the Test class name, if it does not exist, we do nothing

In same PR, fixer for this rule was requested, later implementation was approved by Symfony in https://github.com/FriendsOfPHP/PHP-CS-Fixer/pull/2020 .
Rule is converting single sentence to not a sentence, dropping final dot and lowercasing first word.
If there are multiple sentences, it doesn't make any changes.
Status quo is that some annotation are in the middle - having first word uppercased, but no final stop.
Let us fix grammar by finishing applying the rule.
If, for some reason, you don't want to follow that rule that was requested by Symfony, please provide reasoning. If it's to some edge-case bug, simply raise that bug issue. If due to some other reasons, please send a PR to drop it from `@Symfony` ruleset.

It's a work in progress if we want to do all commands at once (im fine :)). But i think we should review `assets:install` first.
Also im assuming framework commands can rely on `getApplication()->getKernel()` from the framework application (we already do that in some commands). That saves a dep on `@kernel`.
And filesystem as a service; perhaps drop that as well :)

I didn't include the json type since it can be anything that can be stored in a json.
And add support for the dateinterval type for the form type guesser (the form component doesn't support using DateTimeImmutable instances).

This a proposal to extract HTTP preloading features introduced in #21478 in their own component.
There are some good reasons to do it:
* HTTP preloading is not (only) about assets: this standalone component could be very useful to replace resources embedding in APIs by HTTP/2 pushes like described in [this article](https://evertpot.com/rest-embedding-hal-http2/) by @evert. In such case, there is no reason to carry the whole asset component for an API.
* There is no dependency nor relation at all between the code of the asset compnent and the one I've added for Preloading features
* It makes the code cleaner (no more optional dependency in the `Asset` Twig extension)
This component would also better fit in HttpFoundation than in Asset. But there is no dependency between it and HttpFoundation and it can easily be used with PSR-7 too, so IMO it better belongs in a standalone component.
Btw, ~~~I plan to add support for prefetching to this component. Except a PR soon.~~~ Prefetching and prerendering support added in this PR.

When someone uses a custom MarkingStore, the value in the
$subject::marking can be really different from the value inside
Marking::getPlaces(). This occurs, for example, when the value stored in

Getting flash messages in templates is more complex than it could be. Main problems:
1. It's too low level: you need to get the "flash bag" (and first, learn what a "flash bag" is) and then you need to call the internal method: `all()`, `get()`, etc.
2. You need to be careful because the session will start automatically when you ask for flashes (even if there are no flashes). You can prevent this with the `{% if app.session is not null and app.session.started %}` code, but it's boring to always use that.
So, I propose to add a new `app.flashes` helper that works as follows.

This fixes handling the priorities for doctrine event listeners. As found out by @chapterjason in https://github.com/symfony/symfony/issues/21977 the priority was incorrectly handled as soon as a listener had more than one tag (so listening to multiple events).
With this changes all tagged listeners are globally sorted by priority (using the same stable sort approach as in the later available `PriorityTaggedServiceTrait`) and then added one by one to the event manager.
I also updated the tests a bit as it was not covering all cases.

When registering the error handler, simple-phpunit might be used, and in
that case, the bootstrap process will not have environment variables
defined inside phpunit.xml.dist . This means `$mode` might differ when
registering the error handler, and when an error is triggered.
This raises a question: should the $mode argument be removed to avoid
similar errors in the future?
PHPUnit 5.3 doesn't have the forward compatibility layer for PHPUnit 6 so that `PHPUnit\Framework\TestCase` can be used instead of `PHPUnit_Framework_TestCase`.
This generates an error when upgrading to Symfony 3.2.5 without forcing the `SYMFONY_PHPUNIT_VERSION` const:

The global test listener is always initialized to register the clock
mock and DNS mock as soon as possible. However, when the listener is
registered locally through the PHPUnit config, it will never be
registered as a listener. In thise case, the state of the local

This PR makes our phpunit bridge compatible with all namespaced versions of phpunit, from 4.8.35 to 6.
It takes another approach than #21668 and #21221, thus replaces them.
Tested locally : tests pass when using phpunit 5.7, and fails with v6.0 because our own test suite is not yet compatible with it - but at least it runs nice.
If this were handled as usual Symfony component, we would consider some changes to be BC breaks. But in this specific case - a phpunit bridge - it makes no sense to me to apply the bc policy here. I added `@final` and `@internal` annotations to make this clearer.

Allows compatible clients to preload mandatory assets like scripts, stylesheets or images according to [the "preload" working draft of the W3C](https://www.w3.org/TR/preload/).
Thanks to this PR, Symfony will automatically adds `Link` HTTP headers with a `preload` relation for mandatory assets. If an intermediate proxy supports HTTP/2 push, it will convert preload headers. For instance [Cloudflare supports this feature](https://blog.cloudflare.com/using-http-2-server-push-with-php/).
It dramatically increases pages speed and make the web greener because only one TCP connection is used to fetch all mandatory assets (decrease servers and devices loads, improve battery lives).

As a feature on master, considering that people may actually rely on stdout and the fact commands have been changed a lot since 2.7, I think it's not worth doing this change on lower branches.

While playing around with Symfony in a PHP 7.1 application I noticed a warning in how EnvParameterResoure uses unserialize. Since PHP 7.0 introduced the options argument which allows to restrict which classes can be unserialized for better security, it might make sense to use it here. As far as I can tell this is no BC break, it only provides an additional safety mechanism.

The title pretty much sums it up. I had to use the script behind a proxy and it did not work well so here is a little fix to take the `http_proxy` environment variable into account when downloading with fopen.
I don't think there needs to be a doc PR associated since this feature should be transparent for the end-user.

This PR fixes a small issue introduced in #15279. Having an array in a field considered for a unique check causes an array to string conversion error in the translator. This can be avoided by formatting the value parameter with `formatValue`.

The initial implementation of the method factory discovery was based on a naming convention for factory methods. However, this naming convention allowed to generate the same name for multiple ids. In the meantime, a method map was introduced to solve this issue (and others).
When accessing a service with a different id than the official one (thanks to ambiguities), this breaks the sharing of the service, as it creates a new instance each time and replaces the existing shared instance. This was also inconsistent between a dumped container (affected by this) and a non-dumped container (reporting a service not found error for the other id).
The method map is now the authoritative way to discover available service factories. When the dumped container was generated with a method map (which is the case when using the dumper shipped in the component), the logic based on defined methods is not executed anymore. This forbids using another id than the real one to access the service (preventing to trigger the broken behavior). So this breaks BC for people being lucky (i.e. they were using the broken id only once and *before* any usage of the official id) and fixes a WTF bug for all others.
When using a dumper which does not fill the method map, the old logic is still applied, but deprecation warnings are triggered on access to dumped services. Currently, this will trigger a deprecation warning for each new service instantiation. I have not found an easy way to trigger it only once (except adding a private property to remember we already triggered it, but is it worth it ?), but only people writing a project container by hand or writing their own dumper would ever see such deprecation anyway (as the core dumper generates the method map).
Additionally, this makes ``getServiceIds`` faster by avoiding doing a regex match for each method in the class.

In Symfony 2.x we could access the token from `app.security` but now we can only get the user even if it comes from the token storage.
This makes mandatory to create a custom twig extension to access it and thus harder to update to symfony 3.x when you need this simple getter in a template where custom tokens are involved (e.g using a ConnectToken from SensioLabs Connect API).
I hope this little feature will be part of 3.2 :)

Allow the dumper to be passed into `DumpExtension` constructor. This allows a different dumper to be used or even just `HtmlDumper` with a non-default configuration, such as different styles.

In the past, we updated the test code several times that made sure that deprecation messages are triggered. I think we should move this code to a reusable class in the PhpUnitBridge to make it available everywhere and to be able to change a single method in case we need to update the logic.

Caused by #18705, it is impossible to install v3.0.6 of symfony/monolog-bridge
together with v3.0.6 of symfony/http-kernel.
The intention of #18705 "added a conflict between Monolog bridge 2.8 and
HTTP Kernel 3.0+" was to prevent installing symfony/monolog-bridge from the
3.0 series with http-kernel from the 2.8 series of symfony. While this now
works correctly in v2.8.6, it breaks installing symfony/monolog-bridge v3.0.6
with symfony/http-kernel v3.0.6.
This commit resolves this issue.

`ChoicesToValuesTransformer` depending on `multiple` option.
Hence `CheckboxListMapper` and `RadioListMapper` don’t handle
the transformation anymore.

The ``PhpDumper`` cannot currently dump several services' id containing characters unsupported by php.
This PR tries to solve this issue by removing the unsupported characters and by sufixing their camelized association to avoid conflicts.

Fixing several problems with choice placeholder that enhances #9030 for more edge cases:
- A choice with an empty value manually added in the choices array should only be considered a placeholder when it is the first element in the final choice select.
This is part of the HTML spec and how browsers also behave. If you select a choice with an empty value that is not the first option, it will still pass the "required" check
and thus submit the empty value. So it's not a placeholder.
If in the example below you move the empty option to the first place, the browsers will error on submit that you
must select a value. So only then it is a placeholder to show as initial value.

Also the validator https://validator.w3.org/nu/ will mark the above code as error:
> The first child option element of a select element with a required attribute, and without a multiple attribute, and without a size attribute whose value is greater than 1, must have either an empty value attribute, or must have no text content. Consider either adding a placeholder option label, or adding a size attribute with a value equal to the number of option elements.
This is fixed by replacing`0 !== count($choiceList->getChoicesForValues(array('')))` with `$view->vars['placeholder_in_choices'] = $choiceListView->hasPlaceholder()`.
Which means, the required attribute is removed automatically because the select form element is required implicitly anyway due to the nature of the choice UI.
- As the above quote mentions, the `size` attribute also has impact. Namely for a select with size > 1 it can be possible to have a required attribute even without placeholder.
This is because when the size > 1, there is no default choice selected (similar to select with "multiple").
- A placeholder for required radio buttons or a select with size > 1 does not make sense as it would just be fake data that can be submitted (similar to the ignored placeholder for multi-select and checkboxes).
