I guess the deprecation was on the wrong service.
Also, no deprecation notice was triggered about using `"apc"` as the value of the `framework.validation.cache` configuration option. This PR adds the missing deprecation.

The FrameworkBundle in version 2.3 can be used with recent versions of
the Security component. However, after the Security component has been
split with Symfony 2.4, translations resources have been moved to the
`symfony/security-core` package. Thus, the changed location must be
taken into account.
This PR was squashed before being merged into the 2.8 branch (closes#15926).

[2.8][Form] Deprecate alias tag option
FQCN should be used since 2.8 instead, so a deprecation error should be triggered when the `alias` setting is used.
Furthermore, the name of the option doesn't make much sense for form types (as it's the alias of the field it applies to), so I renamed it to `extended_type`. I'm open to any other suggestions.

When a form type provides a BC layer with old form names (all core types
do), the form registry will ask for type extensions registered on the
legacy name for BC, and trigger a warning if it finds any.
The DependencyInjectionExtension should not trigger warnings on its own

registered).
Core extensions are also registered using the proper extended type
rather than legacy names.

#### Type Names
This PR deprecates the definition of the `getName()` method of form types. See #15008 for a more detailed description.
Before:

By default, the class name of the type in underscore notation minus "Type" suffix is used as Twig template block prefix (e.g. `UserProfileType` => `user_profile_*`). If you want to customize that, overwrite the new `getBlockPrefix()` method in your type:

Read validation contraints from Resources/config/validation/ sub-dir
When a bundle contains many entities/documents and it uses YAML or XML format instead of annotations, it is convenient to split the validation constraints into several small files.
With this simple PR, every files in the `validation` sub-directory will be loaded by the validator like it's done for doctrine mapping.

#9892 introduced `DoctrineCache`, but it's not really used by the FrameworkBundle. This was overlooked, therefore I think it should go into 2.5.
This PR will let us to configure a service id, instead of a driver name. The only exception is apc, which is converted to `validator.mapping.cache.apc` to keep BC.
Examples:
```yaml
framework:
validation:
cache: apc # converted to validator.mapping.cache.apc
```
```yaml
framework:
validation:
cache: my_custom_cache_service
```
It would be nice to be able to provide a doctrine service id, instead of `CacheInterface` implementation. It could be automatically decorated with `DoctrineCache`:
```yaml
framework:
validation:
cache:
doctrine: my_doctrine_cache_service # could be provided by DoctrineCacheBundle
```

The FrameworkBundle doesn't depend on the `symfony/translation`
component and therefore does not enforce a high enough version of this
package. Thus, with `symfony/translation` versions before `2.6`, the
`translator` service does exist, but the `TranslatorBagInterface` is
not present.

With #11627, both the `ContainerDebugCommand` name and the
`ConfigDebugCommand` name have been moved to the `debug` namespace.
Thus, references should be updated accordingly.
The FrameworkBundle doesn't depend on the `symfony/translation`

The way we can add functions to an ExpressionLanguage instance is by using inheritance. #10512 tries to make the expression language in the routing flexible but using inheritance won't work when several bundles want to add functions.
So, this PR takes another approach to solve the problem globally.

The removal of the Profiler dependency on the TraceableEventDispatcher (#9170) allows to remerge the patch from #9068 that fixes#6686.
This PR also cleans up how profiles are stored. A Profile is now always stored only once.
The fix will only be available on 2.4+ as the changes are too deep to be backported to 2.2 and 2.3.

The ExpressionLanguage component provides an engine that can compile and
evaluate expressions.
An expression is a one-liner that returns a value (mostly, but not limited to, Booleans).
It is a strip-down version of Twig (only the expression part of it is
implemented.) Like Twig, the expression is lexed, parsed, and
compiled/evaluated. So, it is immune to external injections by design.
If we compare it to Twig, here are the main big differences:
* only support for Twig expressions
* no ambiguity for calls (foo.bar is only valid for properties, foo['bar'] is only valid for array calls, and foo.bar() is required for method calls)
* no support for naming conventions in method calls (if the method is named getFoo(), you must use getFoo() and not foo())
* no notion of a line for errors, but a cursor (we are mostly talking about one-liners here)
* removed everything specific to the templating engine (like output escaping or filters)
* no support for named arguments in method calls
* only one extension point with functions (no possibility to define new operators, ...)
* and probably even more I don't remember right now
* there is no need for a runtime environment, the compiled PHP string is self-sufficient
An open question is whether we keep the difference betweens arrays and hashes.
The other big difference with Twig is that it can work in two modes (possible
because of the restrictions described above):
* compilation: the expression is compiled to PHP and is self-sufficient
* evaluation: the expression is evaluated without being compiled to PHP (the node tree produced by the parser can be serialized and evaluated afterwards -- so it can be saved on disk or in a database to speed up things when needed)
Let's see a simple example:
```php
$language = new ExpressionLanguage();
echo $language->evaluate('1 + 1');
// will echo 2
echo $language->compile('1 + 2');
// will echo "(1 + 2)"
```
The language supports:
* all basic math operators (with precedence rules):
* unary: not, !, -, +
* binary: or, ||, and, &&, b-or, b-xor, b-and, ==, ===, !=, !==, <, >, >=, <=, not in, in, .., +, -, ~, *, /, %, **
* all literals supported by Twig: strings, numbers, arrays (`[1, 2]`), hashes
(`{a: "b"}`), Booleans, and null.
* simple variables (`foo`), array accesses (`foo[1]`), property accesses
(`foo.bar`), and method calls (`foo.bar(1, 2)`).
* the ternary operator: `true ? true : false` (and all the shortcuts
implemented in Twig).
* function calls (`constant('FOO')` -- `constant` is the only built-in
functions).
* and of course, any combination of the above.
The compilation is better for performances as the end result is just a plain PHP string without any runtime. For the evaluation, we need to tokenize, parse, and evaluate the nodes on the fly. This can be optimized by using a `ParsedExpression` or a `SerializedParsedExpression` instead:

$nodes = $language->parse($expr, $names);
$expression = new SerializedParsedExpression($expr, serialize($nodes));
// You can now store the expression in a DB for later reuse
// a SerializedParsedExpression can be evaluated like any other expressions,
// but under the hood, the lexer and the parser won't be used at all, so it''s much faster.
$language->evaluate($expression);
```
That's all folks!
I can see many use cases for this new component, and we have two use cases in
Symfony that we can implement right away.
## Using Expressions in the Service Container
The first one is expression support in the service container (it would replace
#8850) -- anywhere you can pass an argument in the service container, you can
use an expression:
```php
$c->register('foo', 'Foo')->addArgument(new Expression('bar.getvalue()'));
```
You have access to the service container via `this`:
container.get("bar").getvalue(container.getParameter("value"))
The implementation comes with two functions that simplifies expressions
(`service()` to get a service, and `parameter` to get a parameter value). The
previous example can be simplified to:
service("bar").getvalue(parameter("value"))
Here is how to use it in XML:
```xml
<parameters>
<parameter key="value">foobar</parameter>
</parameters>
<services>
<service id="foo" class="Foo">
<argument type="expression">service('bar').getvalue(parameter('value'))</argument>
</service>
<service id="bar" class="Bar" />
</services>
```
and in YAML (I chose the syntax randomly ;)):

arguments: [@=service("bar").getvalue(parameter("value"))]
```
When using the container builder, Symfony uses the evaluator, but with the PHP
dumper, the compiler is used, and there is no overhead as the expression
engine is not needed at runtime. The expression above would be compiled to:
```php
$this->get("bar")->getvalue($this->getParameter("value"))
```
## Using Expression for Security Access Control Rules
The second use case in Symfony is for access rules.
As we all know, the way to configure the security access control rules is confusing, which might lead to insecure applications (see http://symfony.com/blog/security-access-control-documentation-issue for more information).
Here is how the new `allow_if` works:
```yaml
access_control:
- { path: ^/_internal/secure, allow_if: "'127.0.0.1' == request.getClientIp() or has_role('ROLE_ADMIN')" }
```
This one restricts the URLs starting with `/_internal/secure` to people browsing from the localhost. Here, `request` is the current Request instance. In the expression, there is access to the following variables:
* `request`
* `token`
* `user`
And to the following functions:
* `is_anonymous`
* `is_authenticated`
* `is_fully_authenticated`
* `is_rememberme`
* `has_role`
You can also use expressions in Twig, which works well with the `is_granted` function:
```jinja
{% if is_granted(expression('has_role("FOO")')) %}
...
{% endif %}
```
## Using Expressions in the Routing
Out of the box, Symfony can only match an incoming request based on some pre-determined variables (like the path info, the method, the scheme, ...). But some people want to be able to match on more complex logic, based on other information of the Request object. That's why we introduced `RequestMatcherInterface` recently (but we no default implementation in Symfony itself).
The first change I've made (not related to expression support) is implement this interface for the default `UrlMatcher`. It was simple enough.
Then, I've added a new `condition` configuration for Route objects, which allow you to add any valid expression. An expression has access to the `request` and to the routing `context`.
Here is how one would configure it in a YAML file:
```yaml
hello:
path: /hello/{name}
condition: "context.getMethod() in ['GET', 'HEAD'] and request.headers.get('User-Agent') =~ '/firefox/i'"
```
Why do I keep the context as all the data are also available in the request? Because you can also use the condition without using the RequestMatcherInterface, in which case, you don't have access to the request. So, the previous example is equivalent to:
```yaml
hello:
path: /hello/{name}
condition: "request.getMethod() in ['GET', 'HEAD'] and request.headers.get('User-Agent') =~ '/firefox/i'"
```
When using the PHP dumper, there is no overhead as the condition is compiled. Here is how it looks like:

Be warned that conditions are not taken into account when generating a URL.
## Using Expressions in the Validator
There is a new Expression constraint that you can put on a class. The expression is then evaluated for validation:

In the expression, you get access to the current object via the `this` variable.
## Dynamic annotations
The expression language component is also very useful in annotations. the SensoLabs FrameworkExtraBundle leverages this possibility to implement HTTP validation caching in the `@Cache` annotation and to add a new `@Security` annotation (see sensiolabs/SensioFrameworkExtraBundle#238.)

When a null is provided for framework.session.handler_id the FrameworkExtension attempts to set the session storage to null for the 'session.storage.php_bridge' by altering the second argument. [WIP] Kernel refactor
Currently, the handling of sub-requests (including ESI and hinclude) is mostly done in FrameworkBundle. It makes these important features harder to implement for people using only HttpKernel (like Drupal and Silex for instance).
This PR moves the code to HttpKernel instead. The code has also been refactored to allow easier integration of other rendering strategies (refs #6108).
The internal route has been re-introduced but it can only be used for trusted IPs (so for the internal rendering which is managed by Symfony itself, or by a trusted reverse proxy like Varnish for ESI handling). For the hinclude strategy, when using a controller, the URL is automatically signed (see #6463).
The usage of a listener instead of a controller to handle internal sub-requests speeds up things quite a lot as it saves one sub-request handling. In Symfony 2.0 and 2.1, the handling of a sub-request actually creates two sub-requests.
Rendering a sub-request from a controller can be done with the following code:

btw .. as mentioned in #6213 i think it would make sense to refactor the HttpCache to use a cache layer to allow more flexibility in where to cache the data (including clustering) and better invalidation. as such if you are refactoring HttpKernel .. it might also make sense to explore splitting off HttpCache.

i think i've grokked about 60% of the big picture here, and i'm generally happy with what i see. the assumption that the HInclude strategy makes about working with templates probably isn't one that we'll be able to use (and so, would need to write our own), but that's not a big deal since the whole goal here is to make strategies pluggable.
so, yeah. +1.

While you are at the exceptions, I think we can also get rid of the "extra information" thing and replace it by explicit getters/setters. Mostly that will mean adding set/getToken, set/getUser, set/getUsername. Bundles might add custom exceptions which have other data. This will make it a bit more useful and predictable.

@fabpot Did you reschedule this for 2.2? Why? It was originally a 2.1 ticket. I think it is an important one because at the moment there is no reliable way to show users the cause of an `AuthenticationException` without the threat of exposing sensitive information. This issue has been around for a while, see the original issue this PR refers to, or for example [this TODO comment in FOSUB](https://github.com/FriendsOfSymfony/FOSUserBundle/blob/master/Controller/SecurityController.php#L37).
The PR itself is ready to merge now. My only question that remains is about whether the actual translations should be functional tested?

If you want to display the 'safe' user messages you have the optional dependency on the translator. There is a comparison made with the Validator component, but in my opinion that's a different case because the violations always contain the message directed at the user and have no plain english message for the developer. Apart from that the Validator component contains it's own code for replacing `{{ }}` variables in messages (duplication? not as flexible as the translator). Concluding I'd opt for: optional dependency on translator component if you want to show 'safe' user messages + message keys.

@fabpot When we changed the English translation for the validation errors in 2.1, we had to tag the commit as a BC rbeak as it was changing the source for all other translations. And if you look at the state of the files now, you will see that we are *not* using the English as source anymore in some places as some validation errors have a pluralized translation but the source has not been changed.
So I think using a key is more future-proof.

I thought about it several times but never took time to implement it. It is annoying to have to clear the cache when you modify a default value in the Configuration class. So +1
The ContainerAwareTraceableEventDispatcher class was tied to both the
Symfony container and the HttpKernel profiler. It made it non reusable
in another context.
The new TraceableEventDispatcher only keeps the HttpKernel profiler
integration and is able to wrap any other event dispatcher. It makes it
reusable in frameworks using the Symfony HttpKernel component like
Silex.
The only drawback is that we don't have access to the listener
priorities in the collected data anymore (but the listeners are still
ordered correctly). The change is still worth it I think.

But changing the content on a tag basis may require changing the way the render tag look like (as there is no content in the tag currently) so this needs further discussion and @fabpot said he wants to merge a first implementation without it. Hi,
Would it be possible to either use Memcached instead of Memcache or make it configurable to use either Memcache or Memcached?
I've did a little digging on the benefits of using Memcached over Memcache (like for example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1442411/using-memcache-vs-memcached-with-phphttp://devzone.zend.com/1869/zendcon-sessions-episode-040-memcached-the-better-memcache-interface/ ) and maybe this will also help in not having two extensions installed for people who are using Memcached already.

The locale management does not require sessions anymore.
In the Symfony2 spirit, the locale should be part of your URLs. If this is the case
(via the special _locale request attribute), Symfony will store it in the request
(getLocale()).
This feature is now also configurable/replaceable at will as everything is now managed
by the new LocaleListener event listener.
How to upgrade:
The default locale configuration has been moved from session to the main configuration:

Builds upon aead4a9836180cabae4d47fe27c634dcd79ac8f2, which prematurely removed request scoping from the assets templating helper in all cases. The helper need only be request-scoped if one or more request-scoped packages (e.g. PathPackages) are injected into it. This change makes it possible to utilize the assets helper outside of a request (e.g. during a console script).
To ensure that the assets helper is not assigned a request scope, all asset base URL's must be defined for all packages (default and any named) and both protocols: HTTP and SSL. The included test config fixtures concisely accomplish this by specifying a single HTTPS URL as the base URL for our default and named package, since FrameworkExtension's Configuration conveniently registers this URL for both protocols.

I was about to create a PR for this very same quirk, as this was causing my CDN's for various environments to all get merged together. I think we can get away with merging it directly to 2.0 since `assets_base_urls` are hardly covered in the documentation at all.
Once this gets merged, I wouldn't mind writing up a blurb on them to explain how the shorthand syntax works and this merging strategy.

Just my personal opinion, if it is prefered that way I will move this into the DoctrineMongoDBBundle.
While it is reasonable to bundle all Mongo related things together, I do believe that in the case of logging we want to avoid as many depencies as possible. Some exceptions can occur pretty early inside the framework, and it would be a shame if those aren't logged because this layer is written on top of doctrine. I'm not exactly familliar enough with the symfony internals as I only started using it a few days ago, but I can imagine that this can make a difference with some exceptions.

Also, if it has to be moved, how can we arrange the configuration using DI? Currently I've put a line in the FrameworkExtension file to use this engine for everything with a $dsn starting with mongodb; I imagine this kind of ugly depency can't really exist between the FrameworkBundle and another one.
Although it seems completely illogical to me, I will move it, but I do need some directions on how to elegantly do this...

I've implemented after discussions with @fabpot a filesystem storage.
Enable it in your project with :

The index file is about 2Mb, and iterating the whole file is fast.

IMO to speedup it a bit more and not end up with "crash" (to not end with "limit" of files per directory, also to many files in dir slow down every OS) you should use same method to write as Twig, split up files in to directories. If you do this you can speed up index more, because you can create smaller one per directory.
Also you should fix CS (coding standards).

I should add that this is mainly a problem for services where you still want to use the semantic configuration that is provided by the bundle. For services which are not configured by the extension, this is not so much of an issue.

I would prefer ".default" as ".real" always confused me.
The current implementation is not ready for inclusion in 2.0. It has several
known problems (security, not possible to disable it, not "cloud-compatible",
...) and it's not a must have feature anyway.

Here are the new simplified rules:
* Required cache warmers are *always* executed when the Kernel boots for the first time;
* Optional cache warmers are *only* executed from the CLI via cache:warmup

warmers have been removed. So, if you want the best performance, remember to
warmup the cache when going to production.

This in effect removes the direct link between event name and the method name on the handler.
Any callback can be given as a handler and the event name becomes an arbitrary string. Allowing for easier namespacing (see next commit)
This feature added complexity to the framework but wasn't used in the core anyway.
You can still use the Map class loader in your application though. But most of the time, using the APC
autoloader is just better.

Fixed a bug when the storage service is initialized later by another bundle. In this case, we can't add the storage class to the compiled class as the service does not exists.
This has been removed for several reasons:
* the framework does not know where the document root is and should not care

The Csrf extension, for example, now contains a class FormTypeCsrfExtension
that adds CSRF capabilities to the "form" type.
To register new type extensions in the DIC, tag them with "form.type_extension"
and the name of the extended type as alias.
The extension classes are now the only constructor argument of the FormFactory class. They replace the existing "type loader" classes.

The _scheme requirement can be used to force routes to always match one given scheme
and to always be generated with the given scheme.
So, if _scheme is set to https, URL generation will force an absolute URL if the
current scheme is http. And if you request the URL with http, you will be redirected
to the https URL.

The parameter has been removed and the service moved to the XML file (for consistency).
The behavior is still the same as before as any non-public service
which is not referenced anywhere will be automatically removed by a
compiler pass.
We a currently working on a project were a single requested URL typically
leads to some hundred controller calls. Using the dev controller got
incredibly slow since recent Symfony2 changes because for each controller
invocation a new entry gets added to the profiler storage (totalling over
100mb of data on each request in our case).
With the new configuration attribute "only-master-requests" it is possible
to limit the profiler storage to the master requests, keeping the profiler
usable for us.

- Tree root nodes should most always be array nodes, so this as been made the default:

This command uses a new container pass which dumps the ContainerBuilder into a cache file by serializing it. It's possible that we don't want this to run when kernel.debug = false, but I don't see the harm of generating the file and running the container:debug in, for example, the prod environment seems to make sense.
The only missing part is ContainerAwareEventManager::addEventSubscriberService(),
because I'm not sure how to find out the class name of a service in the DIC.
Also, inline documentation of this code needs to be finished once it is accepted.
Doctrine's EventManager implementation has several advantages over the
EventDispatcher implementation of Symfony2. Therefore I suggest that we
use their implementation.
Advantages:
* Event Listeners are objects, not callbacks. These objects have handler
methods that have the same name as the event. This helps a lot when
reading the code and makes the code for adding an event listener shorter.
* You can create Event Subscribers, which are event listeners with an
additional getSubscribedEvents() method. The benefit here is that the
code that registers the subscriber doesn't need to know about its
implementation.
* All events are defined in static Events classes, so users of IDEs benefit
of code completion
* The communication between the dispatching class of an event and all
listeners is done through a subclass of EventArgs. This subclass can be
tailored to the type of event. A constructor, setters and getters can be
implemented that verify the validity of the data set into the object.
See examples below.
* Because each event type corresponds to an EventArgs implementation,
developers of event listeners can look up the available EventArgs methods
and benefit of code completion.
* EventArgs::stopPropagation() is more flexible and (IMO) clearer to use
than notifyUntil(). Also, it is a concept that is also used in other
event implementations

This is also the first step for a bigger refactoring of how the configuration
works (see next commits).
* Bundle::registerExtensions() method has been renamed to Bundle::build()
* The "main" DIC extension must be renamed to the new convention to be
automatically registered:
SensioBlogBundle -> DependencyInjection\SensioBlogExtension
* The main DIC extension alias must follow the convention:
sensio_blog for SensioBlogBundle
* If you have more than one extension for a bundle (which should really
never be the case), they must be registered manually by overriding the
build() method
* If you use YAML or PHP for your configuration, renamed the following
configuration entry points in your configs:

* Remove redundant null/true equivalent array() values for array nodes

* Templating engines node should be required, which is necessary to ensure requiresAtLeastOneElement() applies to its prototype children
In routing files, import statements allow an optional "type" option to hint the resources' type (e.g. for ambiguous file extensions). This adds the same type option to the FrameworkExtension config, which defines the main routing resource.

This fixes some BC problems introduced in f9138d313b. Some top-level can now be simply enabled by providing true/null in PHP/YAML. Additionally, the Configuration\Builder allows options to be unset by providing "false" (helpful for overriding activation in a previous config file). All options supporting these behaviors can be found in the Configuration.php file (look for canBeUnset() and treatNull/TrueLike()).
Major changes:
* Removed "enabled" option for profiler config. Profiler is now enabled if its config is true, null or a map.
* Restore original config structure for validation namespaces. In PHP/YAML, namespaces are defined under annotations as an alternative to false (disabled) and true/null (enabled). For XML, annotation remains a boolean attribute for validation and a one or more optional namespace tags may appear within <app:validation />. During config normalization, namespace tags under validation will be moved to annotations to conform to the PHP/YAML structure (this occurs transparently to the user).
* Restore behavior for router/templating config sections being optional (as shown in changes to session/validation test fixtures). If either top-level section is unset in the configuration, neither feature will be enabled and the user will no longer receive exceptions due to missing a resource option (router) or engines (templating). Resource/engines will still be properly required if the respective feature is enabled.
* Remove unused router type option from XML config XSD. Type is only relevant for import statements, so this option is likely useless.
Additional small changes:
* Added isset()'s, since config options may be unset
* Wrap registerXxxConfiguration() calls in isset() checks
* Load translation.xml in configLoad(), since it's always required
* Default cache_warmer value (!kernel.debug) is determined via Configuration class
Things to be fixed:
* Configuration\Builder doesn't seem to respect isRequired() and requiresAtLeastOneElement() (or I haven't set it properly); this should replace the need for FrameworkExtension to throw exceptions for bad router/templating configs
* The config nodes for session options don't have the "pdo." prefix, as dots are not allowed in node names. To preserve BC for now, the "pdo." prefix is still allowed (and mandated by XSD) in configuration files. In the future, we may just want to do away with the "pdo." prefix.
* Translator has an "enabled" option. If there's no use case for setting "fallback" independently (when "enabled" is false), perhaps "enabled" should be removed entirely and translator should function like profiler currently does.
* Profiler matcher merging might need to be adjusted so multiple configs simply overwrite matcher instead of merging its array keys.
Restructured config format to make processing more straightforward. Important changes that might break existing configs:
* Added "enabled" option for translator (improves multi-format compat)
* Removed hash variation of validation annotations option (only boolean)
* Moved namespace option directly under validation (improves multi-format compat)
The new merge process depends on an internal array of all supported options and their default values, which is used for both validating the config schema and inferring how to merge options (as an added benefit, it helps make the extension self-documenting). Exceptions will now be thrown for merge errors resulting from unrecognized options or invalid types. Since incoming configurations are all merged atop the defaults, many isset() checks were removed. As a rule of thumb, we probably only want to ignore null values when an option would be used to set a parameter.
Also:
* Added missing attributes to symfony-1.0.xsd
* profiler: added only-exceptions attribute
* session: fix types and add pdo attributes

A class in Symfony2 can be loaded by four different mechanisms:
* bootstrap.php: This file contains classes that are always required and
needed very early in the request handling;
* classes.php: This file contains classes that are always required and
managed by extensions via addClassesToCompile();
* MapFileClassLoader: This autoloader uses a map of class/file to load
classes (classes are managed by extensions via addClassesToAutoloadMap(),
and should contain often used classes);
* UniversalAutolaoder: This autoloader loads all other classes (it's the
slowest one).
Cache warmer will come in the next commits.
To warm up the cache on a production server, you can use
the cache:warmup command:

* The register() method on all listeners has been removed
* Instead, the information is now put directly in the DIC tag

Symfony2 comes with two such engines: 'twig', and 'php'.
This adds lazy loading for firewall configurations. This is useful when you have multiple firewalls, only the firewalls which are actually needed to process the Request are initialized. So, your event dispatcher is not as costly to initialize anymore.
It also implements re-using of RequestMatchers if all matching rules are the same, and exposes the remaining rules which are already implemented by the request matcher (host, ip, methods) in the access-control section
Before I explain the changes, let's talk about the current state.
Before this patch, the registerBundleDirs() method returned an ordered (for
resource overloading) list of namespace prefixes and the path to their
location. Here are some problems with this approach:
* The paths set by this method and the paths configured for the autoloader
can be disconnected (leading to unexpected behaviors);
* A bundle outside these paths worked, but unexpected behavior can occur;
* Choosing a bundle namespace was limited to the registered namespace
prefixes, and their number should stay low enough (for performance reasons)
-- moreover the current Bundle\ and Application\ top namespaces does not
respect the standard rules for namespaces (first segment should be the
vendor name);
* Developers must understand the concept of "namespace prefixes" to
understand the overloading mechanism, which is one more thing to learn,
which is Symfony specific;
* Each time you want to get a resource that can be overloaded (a template for
instance), Symfony would have tried all namespace prefixes one after the
other until if finds a matching file. But that can be computed in advance
to reduce the overhead.
Another topic which was not really well addressed is how you can reference a
file/resource from a bundle (and take into account the possibility of
overloading). For instance, in the routing, you can import a file from a
bundle like this:

Again, this works only because we have a limited number of possible namespace
prefixes.
This patch addresses these problems and some more.
First, the registerBundleDirs() method has been removed. It means that you are
now free to use any namespace for your bundles. No need to have specific
prefixes anymore. You are also free to store them anywhere, in as many
directories as you want. You just need to be sure that they are autoloaded
correctly.
The bundle "name" is now always the short name of the bundle class (like
FrameworkBundle or SensioCasBundle). As the best practice is to prefix the
bundle name with the vendor name, it's up to the vendor to ensure that each
bundle name is unique. I insist that a bundle name must be unique. This was
the opposite before as two bundles with the same name was how Symfony2 found
inheritance.
A new getParent() method has been added to BundleInterface. It returns the
bundle name that the bundle overrides (this is optional of course). That way,
there is no ordering problem anymore as the inheritance tree is explicitely
defined by the bundle themselves.
So, with this system, we can easily have an inheritance tree like the
following:
FooBundle < MyFooBundle < MyCustomFooBundle
MyCustomFooBundle returns MyFooBundle for the getParent() method, and
MyFooBundle returns FooBundle.
If two bundles override the same bundle, an exception is thrown.
Based on the bundle name, you can now reference any resource with this
notation:
@FooBundle/Resources/config/routing.xml
@FooBundle/Controller/FooController.php
This notation is the input of the Kernel::locateResource() method, which
returns the location of the file (and of course it takes into account
overloading).
So, in the routing, you can now use the following:

The template loading mechanism also use this method under the hood.
As a bonus, all the code that converts from internal notations to file names
(controller names: ControllerNameParser, template names: TemplateNameParser,
resource paths, ...) is now contained in several well-defined classes. The
same goes for the code that look for templates (TemplateLocator), routing
files (FileLocator), ...
As a side note, it is really easy to also support multiple-inheritance for a
bundle (for instance if a bundle returns an array of bundle names it extends).
However, this is not implemented in this patch as I'm not sure we want to
support that.
How to upgrade:
* Each bundle must now implement two new mandatory methods: getPath() and
getNamespace(), and optionally the getParent() method if the bundle extends
another one. Here is a common implementation for these methods:

The SecurityFactories expect security services to have a consistent naming convention, which was not the case for providers defined as `{ id: another.service }`. These providers will now be aliased as "security.authentication.provider.[key]" and can be accessed in the same manner as other providers.
The original HttpKernel class can be deleted, as it's request-stashing will be moved to the Kernel class. FrameworkBundle's list of compiled classes must also be modified to respect this change.
Modified the framework bundle to use validation => Symfony\Component\Validator\Validator defaults.
