I've hit a problem with some doctrine listeners, built by decorating an abstract definition.
I want the abstract definition to hold the tag, however because the RegisterEventListenersAndSubscribersPass runs before abstract definitions are removed, they get added as method calls to the EventManager definition, which once the abstract service is removed, we end up with a method call that breaks the container.
I don't know if this is the best approach, it might be better not to return abstract services when calling `findTaggedServiceIds` instead?

unified return null usages

This PR unifies the way we return `null` from a function or method:
* always use `return;` instead of `return null;` (the current code base uses both);
* never use `return;` at the end of a function/method.

Reusable bundles providing model classes should not rely on the automapping provided by the doctrine bundles. What is more, the same model can often be mapped to Doctrine ORM, MongoODM, CouchODM and PHPCR-ODM.
This pull request adds a base class for a compiler pass that the concrete doctrine bundles extend to provide a default compiler pass that makes it trivial for bundles to register their mappings. See https://github.com/doctrine/DoctrineBundle/pull/177
The FOSUserBundle shows how this would look in practice. See https://github.com/FriendsOfSymfony/FOSUserBundle/pull/1081
I will create the documentation pull request as well as pull requests for the mongo, couch and phpcr bundles once we agree how exactly to do this.

Can you add a note abou this change in the CHANGELOG?

does it really need to be in the changelog ? End-users don't know about this at all. The only guys affected by this change are the maintainers of the different Doctrine bundles as they can remove some code now.

@bamarni can you also do a patch for the docs after this gets merged so that people know about this change and know how to use it?
Thank you!

This was imported from DoctrineBundle (see: doctrine/DoctrineBundle#23), since it can be used by other Doctrine bundles, too. It utilizes the ContainerAwareEventManager from f15dde6c59.
