9310eea57a optimized templating layer 
You must now explicitly register the templating engine you want to use:

  <app:templating>
      <app:engine id="twig" />
  </app:templating>

  app.templating:
      engines: ['twig']

Symfony2 comes with two such engines: 'twig', and 'php'.
