For reference (raised by rozzin in IRC):

As noted by XRevan86, modules are not necessarily non-essential.
As we will keep the modules directory in GS root [therefore, near to
plugins/], it is evidenced the difference between both.
This is a simple yet fundamental structural change. It doesn't change
functionality but makes clearer the way we understand GNU social's
internals.

Advantages:
* Increases security by preventing direct access to file/
* We are careful and have a defined('GNUSOCIAL') || die() to prevent
direct access to GS files, but we may miss one or a vendor/extlib may
not be as careful
* Improves directory structure - It's more natural to physically
separate what is public from what are GNU social resources

[VersionBump] 1.19.0, fairly late

The core plugins whose version was attached to GS's were reseted to 2.0.0.
2.0.0 was chosen as reset version for plugins because it is higher than
the one that was set by inheriting GS version. Furthermore, it's a
major change from prior plugin versioning system thus it also makes
semantic sense.

We're also now using $config['image']['jpegquality'] to determine the
quality setting for resized images.
To set Avatar max size, adjust $config['avatar']['maxsize']
The getAvatar call now throws exceptions too. Related changes applied.
Now let's move Profile->avatarUrl to the Avatar class!

Autocomplete action must exist on user registration

No need to restrict the autocomplete suggestion system to logged in users.
It only botched the registration process, because the 'autocomplete' action
had not been connected in the routing system.

Autocomplete migrated to jquery-ui autocomplete
...
No longer bundled with the library (as jquery-ui is bundled with the
main software, including the autocomplete part).
Rewrites had to be made to migrate, as several API things had changed
when jquery-ui took over the library.
Currently (like before, right?) this only autocompletes in the end of
the current textarea. So you can't jump back in the middle of a text
and autocomplete a user or group. This is a serious deficiency, though
not a regression.

lib/plugin.php now has a parent onAutoload function that finds most common
files that are used in plugins (actions, dataobjects, forms, libs etc.) if
they are put in the standardised directories ('actions', 'classes', 'forms',
'lib' and perhaps some others in the future).
